The Salt Creek Park District offers a large variety of services including pre-school, summer camps, Boating, fishing, a nine hole golf course and more. They oversee also 5 parks in the area. If you like dancing, my two favorite places are dance classes at Harper College and Studio Viva offers awesome dance lessons at a very reasonable cost with professional teachers and have dance socials weekly.

Palatine offers senior services and a senior center including bus service,a food pantry, summer events and plenty of youth programs.

There is plenty of shopping and restaurants... downtown, strip malls, along Route 12. Some of my favorite restaurants in Palatine are: Heng Wing Chinese restaurant, Aranellas Italian, Marlowes, and let’s not forget about Brandts - the best burger place around. Downtown has a couple new restaurants and some old including Dirty Nellie’s for food and live music, a great place to have a fundraiser or private event.
