Thinking of moving to the Village of Palatine - Northern Illinois? Some info.
Thinking of moving to the Village of Palatine - Northern Illinois? Some info. Thinking of moving to or buying a home in Palatine Illlinois? Palatine is located about 28 miles Northwest of downtown Chicago and just 14 miles to O'hare Airport. Palatines neighboring towns are Deer Park, Barrington, Inverness, Arlington Heights, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates. There has been a huge population growth in Palatine (now over 66000), because of it's location, diversity and beauty. Palatines first settlers arrived in the early 1830's from New York and New England. They made their homes in what is now known as Deer Grove, Plum Grove, Englishmans Grove and Highland Grove in the lush groves of trees which are abundant even today in Palatine.
Palatine shows their great pride in their history by preserving as much of the old charm as possible. Visit the George Clayson House built in 1873 filled with over 1000 treasures listed in the National Register of Historic Places when in town. The train runs through the town of Palatine with a newly renovated station and town surrounding with plenty of homes and townhomes for convenient access.
Homes in Palatine include condos, townhomes to million dollar homes old and new. There is a great blend of new homes and old homes throughout Palatine. The downtown Palatine area is surrounded by older homes restored and new townhomes and condos built to look historic. Downtown Palatine is a happening place to move to with a variety of places to live and things to do.
Palatines Park District has over 40 parks, an Aquatic Center, Horse Stables, A Community Center, an 18 hole Championship golf course Palatine Hills Golf Course, Deer Grove Forest Preserve and Harper Community College. The Salt Creek Park District offers a large variety of services including pre-school, summer camps, Boating, fishing, a nine hole golf course and more. They oversee also 5 parks in the area. If you are looking to relocate to Palatine, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy. If you like dancing, my two favorite places are dance classes at Harper College and Studio Viva offers awesome dance lessons at a very reasonable cost with professional teachers and have dance socials weekly.
Palatine offers senior services and a senior center including bus service,a food pantry, summer events and plenty of youth programs. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants... downtown, strip malls, along Route 12. Some of my favorite restaurants in Palatine are: Heng Wing Chinese restaurant, Aranellas Italian, Marlowes, and let's not forget about Brandts - Most of the single family home subdivisions of Palatine IL are: Pergrine Lake Estates, Barrington Woods, Park Avenue Estates, Prairie Creek, Aspen Meadows, Windhill, Sanctuary Cove, Cedar Grove, Windhill, Benton Place, Plum Grove Woodlands, Orchard Hills, Lakeside Estates, Dunhaven Woods, Spinaker Cove, Brentwood Estates, Winston Park, English Valley, Pleasant Hill, Meadow Lake, Reseda, Willow Wood, Heatherlea, Pepper Tree Farms, Kenilwicke, Wexford, Palanois Park, Sycamore Place, Willow Walk, Pebble Creek, Hunting Ridge, Plum Grove Estates, Lakewood Glen, Plum Grove Hills, Highland Woods, Concord Mills, Whyte Cliff, Plum Grove Park Estates, Forest Estates, Cannongate, Morgans Gate and Heatherstone. Wed, 05 Nov 2008 08:14:16 -0600 North IL - Barrington, Deer Park, Lake Zurich, Palatine areas now is a great time to Buy! Now is a great time to purchase Investment property in the Deer Park, Barrington, Palatine, Lake Zurich and surrounding areas. We have a daily changing list of "Best Buys" or properties that would be great rental or investment properties. Homes in Barrington, Lake Zurich, Palatine, Deer Park and surrounding areas are on sale now and many can produce a nice "Cash flow" and/or retirement account.
Cash-flowis not always the easiest to achieve, many investors of real estate look to achieve no cash-flow at the end of the month, just a break even and want the tax advantages and equity to build. Now that homes for saleare at a low, cash-flow is easier than it has been in the past few years. If you take a fixed rate mortgage and start at out at zero cash-flow at the beginning, as the years go by and you keep your expenses down, your rents go up and so does your cash-flow. Other considerations to include as far as expenses are concerned are: Repairs (upfront and continuing), legal fees, accounting fees, vacancy, management fees (if you are not going to do that yourself), ads for renters etc. I have found that directional signs to the property and signs on the rental are the best draw for renters. If you are considering an investment property in the Barrington, Deer Park, Lake Zurich, Palatine, Schaumburg or surrounding areas, contact us for a list of properties that would fit into your investment plan. We also have a great book by Gary Keller called "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" that is packed with information about investing from A to Z we can get to you. We also have great knowledge to share with you or can point you in the right direction if we do not have the answers you are looking for.
